The algorithm is developed from scratch in the most recent version of C#, making it amazingly fast and robust. This applies to both the positioning logic for rods as well as for the geometry engine which is also built from scratch. The implementations of every sub algorithm are based on existing and proven theories and are therefore highly efficient and dependable.
Contrary to the traditional approach where the rebar requirement is often strongly simplified, Rodly’s approach is different. Because Rodly interprets the requirement to exact numbers, it is therefore possible that the most efficient mesh is not Ø8-150 but Ø8-158. The resulting mesh is therefore better divided and often meets the requirement with less steel, reducing costs.
The example above is one of many but describes the vision of the resolution strategy very well, namely innovative, and effective.
